The "Professionals" Can't figure it out!

The so called professional economists can't figure out why we in breadbasket America don't believe their lying numbers. There's a lot of animosity and worry about inflation and almost everything else attached to the economy and they don't know why.

Maybe they need to get out of the beltway and see what the real people that make this country run are dealing with.

Milk now at 3.29 a gallon+

Gasoline Hovering around 3 bucks a gallon

Flat to degrading real estate markets

What few industrial jobs we have left like in the auto industry are being destroyed while the upper mgmt types get bonuses

Wall Street investment bankers making 50+ million dollars for as a BONUS for selling us out.

210 million to a CEO of a major home improvement company (Home Depot) after he's wrecked their business and ruined their reputation with employees and many customers

I could go on but you guys aren't listening anyway

Pushing the Envelope of Greed

http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/07_15/b4029050.htm?chan=rss_topStories_ssi_5

And worldwide, millions of people still can't find jobs. The strongest evidence that there's no general shortage today is that overall worker pay has barely outpaced inflation. In the U.S., the share of national income going to corporate profit, rather than, say, labor, is hovering around a 50-year high

Corporate greed is UP and the workers of the world aren't willing to work as slaves to large corporations. What an epiphany! What's interesting and has not been done is the fact that the people running the businesses today are the same love-peace-power-and the earth hippie set from the 60's. These age of aquarious folks have been found to be the greediest most corrupt group history has seen in a long time.

I wonder how their kids are going to be?

So I'm Minding my Own Business

And it seems that everyone wants to tell me what to do and how to do it. It's a shame that they don't get up off their lazy asses and actually do something themselves. No---

Instead, they make my life miserable and expect me to do things their way
Go figure

Wednesday

Minding my own Business

It's cold and I'm tired of all the comercialism that have token over the holidays. I'm irritatted however that the City of Chicago has eliminated the Manger Nativity scene because it might offend those of other religions.

Works for me.

Get rid of the reason for the season and we're left with just yet another buying opportunity. I hope the people of Illinois put their Christmas shopping on hold also because all that buying might offend others as well.

Tuesday

OH joy! Holiday season is Coming

The holidays are right around the corner. Lowes is having their Christmas in October display and shelf loading. There's suggestions of Christmas at the local Target and the Halloween candy at Walmart is almost gone. This must mean it's time to run to the next holiday.

No time to actually enjoy any special time or occasion. Just buy and move on.
And this is the definition of success?!

Wednesday

Halloween and Thankgiving is First though!

I thought I would mention that Halloween, which isn't really a holiday and Thanksgiving which is really a holiday but is ignored in most marketing, are before Christmas. The reason I started off on the Christmas thing is that LOWES and several other large companies are already putting out Christmas stuff.

At least Home Depot has pumpkins and other Halloween stuff out for at least a while.

Christmas Time is Coming

So I'm going to be creating a Christmas Gift guide for almost anything you can imagine. There will be a special section for Jewelry.

I figured if society is determined to continue with this hyper consumerism, I'm going to give them every opportunity

Monday

Holiday Time coming up!

It seems that the media and the marketing machines of new York are working overtime to get us from 1 holiday to another. There was a time when holidays were special and few. Now we seem to go from 1 holiday to the next if only as a cheap marketing ploy.

When I was growing up, Saint Patricks Day [March17th] wasn't a month long advertising blitz that it is now. Heck, Halloween is 4-6 weeks of a season! It never ends as we dutifully run from one holiday to the next
