Home Security is also an Emotional State of Wellbeing

Consider a home that has an infestation of insects or rodents. A tiny field mouse in your home can sometimes have a dramatic affect on the overall feeling of security and happiness. The thought of having rodents just destroys the mental state of wellbeing until the little animals are caught and removed. Exterminators make a good living focusing on cleanliness and creating emotional home security.

Many things can have this same impact though. Regular uninvited guests like a neighbor who comes to visit without being invited. Spoiled food in the refrigerator or a dirty home can sometimes just be demoralizing. Another thing that can affect the feeling of security in the home is the telephone. For to long we have looked on the phone as a convenience for others to contact us. We pay for and control the use of the phone so it’s right that if constant unwanted calls are causing stress or anxiety it should be taken off the hook! Anything that affects our emotional state at home can damage our feeling of being safe and secure. We also don’t need to apologize to anyone for taking the phone off the hook because we pay for the darn thing for our benefit and convenience not others.

Lastly, we need to recognize that home security issues can have a dramatic affect on our emotional wellbeing.
