Ever try to figure out why adult children, when they return to lie with you increase your anxiety? Even in the absolute best of circumstances, the dynamic of the adult-child relationship continues to weave it's complexity. Kids and kids no matter if they're 6 or 26 but the problems continue.

To try and keep the peace, many people will go out of their way to lower the worry, concerns and anxiety levels of the people in the house.
