Data Restoration on the Cheap

Data Recovery is more a matter of planning than actual work to get the job done. Of course, things need to be done to collect the data BEFORE it's needed but the planning for routine maintenance and backups take a certain committment that's not seen in most typical computer users.

This is probably due to the fact that today's systems are very stable and reliable. The number of people who have actually had a hard drive fail is relatively small. They may have had difficulties but an actual full hardware failure is rare.

The need for a data disk recovery however is much more than a hard drive failure. It's needed when a virus hits, or some program misbehaves and corrupts system level files. Practicing safe computing is a committment everyone should make.
